Fight Sweat Stains
As the temps turn up, so do the faucets located in your armpits. This can lead to unsightly and embarrassing sweat stains that can ruin your life, or so I’ve been led to believe by those Sure commercials. So how do you ward off and fight the sweat stains?
WSJ suggests the following tips for your pits:
* Don’t dry-clean shirts with yellow stains. Those stains are water-based, ergo, use water to get rid of them.
* Put antiperspirant on before bed, when you’re less sweaty. It gets absorbed in the skin overnight and won’t wash off when you take a shower.
* Wash the sweaty clothes as soon as you can, using detergent or stain remover with an oxygen bleach.
Fun fact! The yellowness in the stains comes from the aluminum in the antiperspirant products! Good plan, make a product that solves one problem while causing another, which can then be solved with another product, which causes another problem…ad nauseum.
Make that another reason why I don’t believe in antiperspirant. The first one being that I think if your body wants to sweat it should be allowed to do so.
