Netflix Locks Down Exclusive Streaming Rights To Mad Men
Netflix may not be interested in charging viewers extra to watch specific shows, but it appears very interested in paying companies to make sure it’s the only place you can find some programming.
Deadline reports Netflix struck a deal with Lionsgate that ensures the Emmy-dominating drama Mad Men will stream only on Netflix. The deal calls for Netflix to have sole rights to stream up to seven seasons of the show, which has so far only aired for four, all of which will start streaming on Netflix July 27. Future seasons will come to Netflix after they air on AMC.
Will deals such as this alter your viewing habits?
