DirecTV Has 750 Million Reasons To Hope There's A Football Season
If you’re a football fan fearful that there may not be an NFL season due to the labor dispute, at least be thankful that you’re not DirecTV and stand to lose between $600 million $750 million from the lack of football.
DTV USA Forum quotes a business analyst who estimates DirecTV could lose that amount due to the inability to sell NFL Sunday Ticket packages, which allow viewers to see any Sunday day game that isn’t blacked out in their market.
The potentially lost revenue doesn’t take into account potential $420 million savings if DirecTV does not have to pay the NFL to provide Sunday Ticket.
If Sunday Ticket was one of the reasons you subscribed to DirecTV, are you considering other options this year if there’s no football?
