Pepsi Outdoes Coke By Planning Bottles Made Entirely Of Plants
More than a year after Coke unveiled bottles made partially from plant products, Pepsi announced it’s making containers made solely from vegetation.
GreenBiz reports Pepsi’s bottles will be made with witch grass, pine bark and corn husks and will be able to be recycled along with petroleum-based plastic bottles. Pepsi will manufacture the bottles for a test run in 2012, then introduce them to the market if all goes well.
