Worst Company In America Round One: DirecTV Vs. Dish Network

Today’s second first-round match in the WCIA ring pits the country’s two biggest satellite TV providers in a duel of the dishes.

Dish Network may be the smaller of the two brawlers, but has taken on some pretty tough customers in pre-WCIA slap fights, going toe-to-toe with both Disney and Fox in very public disputes over carriage fees. But Dish hasn’t forgotten the importance of the little guy, like this Colorado customer who claims that a Dish staffer did $20,000 worth of damage.

But Dish will have an uphill battle against its main rival, in and out of the ring. DirecTV’s warm-up bouts in the months leading up to the WCIA tournament included a battle royale with the attorneys general of all 50 states and D.C., and only coming out of the pile with a $14 million bruise.

This poll is now closed. Congratulations to DirecTV!
