Picking the low-hanging fruit of the pro sports world, Sony has locked down a way to let owners watch NHL games on TV without having to find the Versus channel in the listings.

PlayStation Blog reports PlayStation 3 owners who subscribe to NHL’s $170-a-year GameCenter Live service can now watch live and past hockey games on their TVs through their consoles.

The app is $10, unless you happen to be a PlayStation Plus member, in which it’s free.
