USPS Food Drive Requires Flux Capacitor, 1.21 Gigawatts
Reader David would like to suggest that the next time the USPS wants to hold a food drive that requires you to put food in your mailbox on a certain day — they should tell you before that day arrives so that you don’t need a time machine.
David says:
Today, May 10th, I was going through the mail I got on Saturday May 8,2010. Upon looking through, I see a postcard from the USPS. “Stomp Out Hunger,” it declares…. on May 8th? So they send a notice to help gather food for its drive, on the exact day it’s supposed to occur? On the reverse it states, “You can help by placing your food donation at your mailbox on May 8th before your letter carrier arrives.” Maybe they should have also sent plans on a flux capacitor – then maybe I could have gone back in time, and left some donations.
That’s really too bad, it seemed like a nice idea. Oh well, maybe next year.
