The IKEA Song

You’ll never get the ladies with those milk crates! You need to sex up your pad with some choice items from IKEA, the furniture that helps a boy become a man. Riegel and Blatt show you how in this comedic ode. Beware, there is some NSFW language and guy in boxers humping Swedish furniture. [More]

Learn To Love Your Messed Up Toyota With This Parody

Funny or Die wants to help Toyota out of this awkward situation it’s found itself in, so the site has posted a helpful video of a cheerfully steely spokeswoman who likes to point with both hands. It’s like she’s shooting good news in your face! Pow pow! And really, it’s true that you can have an awesome garage party without ever needing to take your Toyota on the road, so maybe you should stop being so pessimistic. Video below. [More]

Man Out For Repoman's Blood (Listen To Their Calls)

Man Out For Repoman's Blood (Listen To Their Calls)

Some “pal” of Mark’s put him down as a reference on a motorcycle loan with Freedom Road Financial and fell behind on his payments. So now the company is making harassing phone calls to Mark and his elderly mom, almost giving her a heart attack, telling them that Mark is in “serious trouble,” that he’s “a party” to the “stolen motorcycle.” They wouldn’t stop even though he told them to, and now an “investigator” identifying himself as “Marshal Davis” is also making calls, threatening to send “people” to his home and office. Mark recorded a conversation with Michelle Peacan at Freedom Road Financial (FRF) and we liked it so much that we added some funny photos, and uploaded it to YouTube. Then we reached FRF for comment. Banker Caught Looking At Nudie Pics On Live TV

Banker Caught Looking At Nudie Pics On Live TV

An investment banker apparently forgot or didn’t know his colleague was doing a live interview and was caught looking at nudie pics in the background on live TV. The SFW fun starts at about 1:03. Hey, pushing around money is very stressful, a guy needs some kind of release. Two things make this video even better: 1. The guy keeps checking out pictures as he talks to another coworker and 2. At the very end he turns around and faces the camera, his face showing that he’s just realized that his appreciation for the female form has been caught on camera. [More]

Landing Gear Not Good Place For Discount Airfare, Dead Man Finds

A man was found dead inside the landing gear of Delta airplane landing in Tokyo enroute from New York. Doctors speculated that he froze to death and had a shortage of oxygen when the plane reached over 30,000 feet. Sheesh, we know the seats are cramped but this is ridiculous. What happens when you climb into an airplane’s fuselage and it takes off? This clip from “1000 Ways To Die” explains: [More]

Ben Popken On Today Show: Beware Mail-In Gold Services

UPDATE: Here’s the video! Unless I get bumped by some zoo zebras giving birth or something, set your DVRs to “posterity” for tomorrow morning, 7:30, Today Show, NBC. They are skewering Cash4Gold and other mail-in gold places and you’ll probably have the thrill of seeing me for a few nanoseconds. All joking aside, it’s great this issue is getting more traction (Congress-critter calling for FTC probe, NYT and NY Post article). Good stuff. [More]

YouTube To Rent Movies

Tomorrow, YouTube will start renting online movies at $4 for 48 hours. At launch, the selection will consist of five titles from the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, says the Associated Press, but Google hopes to get studios on board in the coming months. Studios will be able to set their own prices and rental periods, however, should they participate. [More]

Pumpkinhead New Raisin Bran Crunch Spokesthing?

Pumpkinhead New Raisin Bran Crunch Spokesthing?

When I first watched Pumpkinhead–an Alien-style monster who’s rampaged through a few B-level horror movies–go on and on about finding inner peace and online dating, I thought of The Office. Now that I think about it, it’s probably closer in style to Aardman’s Creature Comfort animations. Either way, if you like horror movies, breakfast cereal, British accents, and very silly advertising, you’ll appreciate this clip. [More]

More Footage Of The McDonald's Water Thrower

Last week I posted a clip of an angry McDonald’s customer throwing water at the cashiers. Here’s a new clip of her tirade–sort of a greatest hits compilation. It turns out it wasn’t mop water, so that’s a plus, but she did manage to push all three registers off the counter.

Consumerist's Top 10 Ads Of 2009

Consumerist's Top 10 Ads Of 2009

Advertising is all about optimism, aspiring to a better tomorrow that’s just a barcode scan away. So just because the economy is in the tank doesn’t mean we stop selling dreams, it just means we have to pimp a littler harder, together. For America. Common among this year’s best ads, in my view, is that they acknowledged the retardedness of their medium, and then got really real, or completely ridiculous. Here’s the top 10! [More]

Broadview Security Systems Protect You From Hordes Of Scary Guys In Black Sweatshirts

The ads for Broadview Security address an important issue for modern women: someone is always lurking outside waiting to rape you. Did I say address? I meant to say something more like stoke flames of fear. Comedian Sarah Haskins takes on the security alarm systems rape fables in a recent epsiode of Target: Women. [More]
