As you’ve probably heard, the longstanding rule that classifies 1/8 cup of tomato paste as a serving of vegetables in kids’ school lunches — thus allowing a slice of pizza to qualify as a serving of veggies — was set to be changed, but political maneuvering recently scuttled that change. And not everyone is thrilled with that.
Layoffs are a sorrowful fact of life in this downsizing-obsessed economy, and the earlier you know you’re on the outs, the more time you’ll have to prepare. While it’s counterproductive to over-analyze your work environment while waiting for the inevitable “Can you step into my office?” overture from your supervisor and the HR lady, keeping your eyes open for obvious tells is a good idea.

Since it’s doubtful a Subway has the sole authority to tow or fine your car on a public street, I assume he can go ahead and park there for the full hour if he likes.
Josh’s Subway doesn’t take too kindly to those who bring their own cups to fill up at its freestanding soda fountain. It also isn’t to keen on those who keep cardboard Subway cups as refillable souvenirs to be used day after day.
