If you’re in the mood for love, simply because you’re near your heart’s desire, you better keep your clothes on if you happen to be sporting Google Glass. Just hours after the first porn app for the cyborg glasses was announced, Google officially banned any sexually explicit material on the devices. That’s one point of view Google seems to not be interested in.

The app was released by a company yesterday morning and promptly had to be pulled. The company’s adult app store does pretty well with other successful sassytime apps on Android devices, reports CNN, but it seems Google wants Glass to remain unsullied, at least at this point.

Users could look at photos and watch adult videos filmed using Google Glass, and eventually the company wanted the app to allow two consenting adult Glass users to have one-on-one video interactions. That’s probably not gonna happen, or the company will have to do a bit of wheedling, begging and pleading.

The new section of developer policies for Google Glass covering the area between the sheets reads: “We don’t allow Glassware content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts or sexually explicit material,” as well as outlining serious penalties for any app featuring child pornography. There are also bans on gratuitous violence, hate speech and gambling on Glass.

As for the company behind the porn app, its CEO said in a blog post that more than 10,000 people had visited its landing page, and a dozen Glass owners had already signed up. He said that although the company followed developer terms when it began creating the app, of course it will now tweak it to play by the rules.

“Although the app is still live and people are using it, at this point we must make changes to the app in order to comply with the new policies. Expect to see changes to the application tomorrow,” he wrote.

Google also announced recently that it won’t allow face recognition software on Glass, at least for now, after consumers raised issues about privacy.
