Next time you’re at an NFL game and feel tempted to take to the field — naked, of course — to show off your kick-returning skills, be aware that your short-lived triumph may not only get you evicted from the stadium for the rest of the game, but will also mean you’ll need to take a class to get into any future games.

According to the New York Post, the class requirement — which began in 2010 at MetLife Stadium (home to the two NYC teams that refuse to admit they live in New Jersey) and at the New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium and will be rolled out league-wide this season — isn’t seeking to penalize people for being drunken yahoos, just trying to educate them about acceptable behavior.

“We’re not trying to squash anyone’s passion. We’re just trying to say don’t be violent,” says the psychotherapist behind the program.

At least at the two above-mentioned stadiums, if you get hauled out into the parking lot for being a moron, you’re required to write an apology, take the four-hour online course at fanconductclass.com for $75, and score at least 70% on the test at the end.

The MetLife Stadium security chief tells the Post that about 25% of the 500 people/season they ejected since starting the program in 2010 don’t get around to taking the test. Those that fail to do so end up on the “unforgiven” list, which includes the person’s name, photo and seat number to make it slightly more difficult to get back in just by having your friend buy the ticket.

But if violators are caught, they are arrested for trespassing at the stadium. The Post reports that 10 such scofflaws have been nabbed since 2010.
