The First Ski-Thru Starbucks Keeps Snow Bunnies & Bums Caffeinated On The Slopes

How many times have you been shooting down a ski slope, totally shredding some awesome powder (if that’s a thing?) and thought, “Man, I could really go for a latte right about now”? Enough people have felt that way, apparently, as Starbucks has opened its first ski-thru location.

OnTheSnow.com says Squaw Valley resort in California is the home to the mountaintop coffee stop, where skiers and snowboarders won’t have to take off their equipment to grab a cup of joe.

“We worked closely with the design team at Starbucks to create a one-of-a-kind experience that we know our guests will truly enjoy,” said Andy Wirth, Squaw Valley’s president and CEO. “Nowhere else in the world can skiers and riders enjoy a delicious Starbucks coffee without missing a beat on the slopes.”

You don’t have to be wearing skis or a snowboard, either, if you just happen to be hanging out at the mid-mountain complex where the Starbucks is located, feel free to wander in instead of gliding. Although gliding is way cooler.
