Walgreens Wants To Be The Spot Where You Charge Up Your Electric Car While Filling Your Prescription
As electric vehicles continue to hit the market, some retailers are seeing an opportunity to offer a new service by adding EV charging stations to existing stores.
Drugstore chain Walgreens announced this morning that it would install charging stations at around 800 (approximately 10%) of its retail locations across the country by year’s end.
In addition to its home base in the Chicago area, Walgreens will be installing the stations at stores in Boston, Denver, L.A., NYC, San Francisco and Washington D.C. as well as in certain locations in Florida, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee and Washington state.
