Cougars Buying Up Sexy Lingerie In Devious Seduction Plan
Watch out boys, she’ll eat you up: The UK’s Daily Mail says lingerie sales are on the uptick due to women in their 40’s and 50’s looking to seduce younger men. These cougars are on the prowl and they want their lacy bras and garters!
Positive cougar role models like Kim Cattrall on Sex and the City and Courteney Cox on Cougar Town are the inspiration these ladies apparently needed to get out there and grab all the satin underwear they can get their hands on, say retailers, and they’ve got the money to burn.
“Women in their 40s are being touted as the new 20s,” Annette Warburton, head lingerie buyer for a British chain of stores, told the Daily Mail. “We definitely expect the market to continue to grow in the future.”
Kim and Court have given women the confidence to harness their inner cougars and show it all off, she adds, instead of leaving their love lives on dusty, boring cotton underwear-laden shelves.
UK chain Marks & Spencer is going for the “racier is better” angle with a new line aimed at women over 45.
“We launched the Portfolio lingerie brand this season because there was a clear demand for sexy, flattering underwear for the 45-plus market,” M&S trading director of lingerie Frances Russell, told the Daily Mail. “We have recently introduced sexier shapes such as the cheeky Brazilian knicker, and that is selling particularly well.”
You go, ladies. Get on with your bad selves.
