Boy To Grow Up Being Repeatedly Asked To Tell The Story Of How He Was Born At McDonald’s
Everyone hears some kind of story about how they arrived in the world, but we can’t imagine too many people start off in life with the incredible story of being born in a McDonald’s bathroom.
When a woman went into labor inside the Florida McDonald’s, her grandmother tells Bay News 9 that employees came to her aid.
“She said to a couple of employees, ‘Go and get something,'” the grandma explained. “She said, ‘Get some boxes and let’s flatten them out and get her to lay down. She can’t have the baby over the toilet.'”
We’ve got to give the employees credit — that might seem like a small distinction but it’ll surely feel like an important difference.
The woman was only six months pregnant and had stopped with her grandmother who wanted a cup of coffee, so she could use the bathroom.
Employees talked her through the birth while someone was on the phone with 9-1-1, with the baby showing up a little over five minutes into the call.
Paramedics arrived soon after and whisked the baby to the hospital, and he was later airlifted to the hospital.
“I just hope and pray that the baby will be okay,” said the grandma. “She’s a young mother, it’s her first pregnancy, first baby. So she’s upset.”
While the boy has a name, his aunt says he’ll probably get a nickname due to his unusual birth story.
“That’s her favorite restaurant and we need to call him Ronald,” said the boy’s aunt. “That’s what we need to call him. His nickname is going to be Ronald McDonald.”
