Jack In The Box Introduces Breakfast Sandwich Between Two Waffles

Big-Waffle-Stack-Jack-Box-1Sure, McDonald’s hasn’t gone into 24-hour breakfast mode yet, but that doesn’t mean that you have to suffer without new and exciting breakfast food mashups. Jack In The Box introduced some new items this week, and among them is a breakfast sausage, ham, and bacon sandwich with waffles for buns. Waffles. For Buns.

Is that a better or worse option than fried chicken or deep-fried lasagna as fast food sandwich-containers go? We’re not really sure. What we do know is that the Jack’s Big Stack is a mashup of breakfast foods that’s a worthy competitor to the Mc10:35, if the Mc10:35 were an official thing. In their press release announcing the sandwich, JITB lists the different breakfast meats you can find in the sandwich:

two eggs, country-grilled sausage, ham, American cheese and hickory-smoked bacon stacked between two lightly sweetened, toasted maple waffles.

That’s three different kinds of meat, plus eggs and waffles. Delicious. Well, if it’s any good, it will be delicious. If it’s terrible, no big: it’s only on the menu temporarily. During that period, it will be available all day.

Other temporary items introduced on Wednesday include the Jack’s Big Stack burger on a sourdough bun with onion rings pre-installed and Chili Cheese Wedges, a new side. Iced coffee also joins the menu this week, but will stay indefinitely.
