Congrats Comcast, You’re Only The Third-Worst Company In America This Year
Though it didn’t get the attention of this year’s title match, yesterday saw another Worst Company In America bout for third-place bragging rights between tournament also-rans Comcast and Ticketmaster. In the end, Comcast managed to beat out Ticketmaster and collect its first Bronze Poo.
It was one of the tournament’s more competitive matches, with Comcast only managing to eke out a 55-45 victory over the much-loathed ticket seller.
Comcast’s victory means that the Kabletown trophy cabinet now has two Poo statues to display. In 2010, the company won it all, taking home the Golden Poo as WCIA champ. Coincidentally, its competition in that 2010 Final Death Match was none other than Ticketmaster.
This is the second year in which we’ve awarded a Bronze Poo to the winner of the Consolation Round. Last year’s third-place finisher, and inaugural Bronze Poo recipient, was AT&T.
Congratulations to both teams. We’d send Ticketmaster a certificate of participation but it would probably charge us a fee for the privilege.
