Worst Company In America Round 2: Carnival Vs. Spirit
There is one spot left in the WCIA Anything-But-Elite 8, and these two companies are in a race to see who can get there slowest.
First-time WCIA contender Carnival cruised through the first round, handing United Airlines a 75-25 loss, proving that if there is one thing worse than paying too much to sit on a cramped airplane for a few hours, it’s having to live on a stranded cruise ship with no power, dwindling food supply, and failing plumbing… and then have to ride a bus a few hours, and then have that bus crash.
Will Carnival have a harder time fighting off little Spirit Airlines, who we like to think of as the Henery Hawk, that little loudmouthed bird that pesters Foghorn Leghorn, or that one yippy chihuahua that picks fights with bigger dogs at the dog park. Difference is, that unearned macho attitude seems to be working to Spirit’s advantage, at least in WCIA play. The little airline that could (charge you every possible fee) pulled off a 59-41 upset over the beleaguered but much larger American Airlines in the opening round.
We’re cleared… to sit around a bit longer while waiting to be cleared to depart, so you might as well vote.
VOTING FOR THIS POLL IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO CARNIVAL FOR MOVING ON!
