South African athlete Oscar Pistorius became a fan favorite at last summer’s Olympics, becoming the first double-leg amputee to compete in the games. Now he’s been charged with the shooting death of his girlfriend, compelling Nike to pull an unfortunately worded ad featuring the track star.

The ad, which ran on Pistorious’ website, features the Olympian bolting out of the starting block. The accompanying text reads, “I am the bullet in the chamber.”

The Mirror reports that the ad has been pulled in light of the shooting. The Huffington Post says Nike is not returning requests for comment.
