Reusable cups have been available at low prices at Starbucks stores and from other sources for a long time, but this is the first low-priced option that isn’t a status object with a high price point. Still, the chain’s goals are modest: they aspire to have only 5% of cups used in stores be reusable two years from now. Currently, 1.9% of all cups used in Starbucks stores are reusable.
