Alex booked a flight/hotel package on the Allegiant Air that included a stay at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. The problem? He’s only 19, and you have to be 21 or older to check in there. So just call and cancel the reservation, right? It’s not that simple, because he’s afraid that the flight reservation will be canceled too if he nixes the hotel part of the package.

I booked a Las Vegas vacation several months ago which I’m taking next Monday (October 24). I booked through Allegiant Air which included the airfare and also the hotel reservation for four nights.

I was looking on my hotels (Paris) reservation page today to check prices when I noticed that it says you have to be 21 or older to receive marketing emails. I thought this was odd so I called them up to see if you also have to be 21 to check in, turns out you must be at least that old for some reason.

I am only 19, but Allegiant’s website took my birthdate and charged me (without telling me that I was too young to check in). Do you or your readers have any suggestions on what I should do? I don’t want to call Allegiant Air because I’m guessing they will just cancel my reservation without refunding me since the tickets are non-refundable.

I have other family going also so if I’m out the room I would still like my airfare.

Have you heard of anything like this before? I have booked a few hotels in the past in different cities and been totally fine checking in as a young adult.
