This Pawn Shop Is Very Up Front With Its Feelings About Crack Smokers
Last week, we brought you a marketing ploy by one Albany pawn shop looking to expand its customer base by giving spurned mothers a way to get back at their exes. Now, Consumerist reader Brady sends us a photo of a Georgia shop that is trying to limit certain people — namely those who smoke crack cocaine — from entering.
In addition to listing the hours of business and touting that it offers layaway, the sign for this Savannah, GA, shop clearly states “NO CRACKHEADS!”
Of course, we wonder if said crackheads will look at that sign and say to themselves, “I’m going to honor this store’s wishes and not attempt to sell my possibly purloined goods here,” or if they’ll just try anyway.
