Wedding Photographer Convicted For Not Turning Over Photos To Couple
This story is sweet justice for anyone out there who’s gotten married and had to beg and plead just to get their photos back: a South Carolina wedding photographer was sentenced to two years of house arrest for not turning over the photos he took of a couple’s wedding, even though they had already paid him $2,450.
The man was convicted of convicted of breach of trust with fraudulent intent, WYFF4 reports. He was ordered to turn over the photos within 30 days and return the couple’s money. He also has to hand over a photo album that was part of the original deal, along with a DVD of the photos.
Initially, Judge Letitia Verdin sentenced him to eight years is prison, but suspended the sentence for two years of house arrest and two years of probation.
Watch out, wedding photographers, better live up to your contracts. Or you could be doing hard time. And instead of taking shots, you could find yourself in the middle of a real pretty picture.
