    I wonder if magazines even make dummy books anymore with placement. It’s difficult sometimes because all advertisers are always last-minute with the new ads they have to run by the client.

    Sometimes/most times ads are sent directly to the printer. There’s very little reason for them to go to a production department anymore.

    I was running on the treadmill just now and watching Adult Swim with the sound muted. They did an RIP David Foster Wallace bump and then immediately followed it with an ad for their web-based Flash game, “Five Minutes to Kill Yourself.” Nice.

      @Juliekins: Meh DFW would’ve laughed at the irony. (knew him briefly, so I m guessing he would’ve LOL’d)
      And I come from family of skin cancer fails and myself have been diagnosed with 3 more pre cancerous thingies last week.(this magazine story was on someone’s sister who ‘accidentally’ killed herself neglecting her skin cancer)
      Still I just laughed at this.
      Anyone who is really upset over this has too much time on their hands.

    Is it wrong that it made me laugh? Wow it only takes one magazine to make you feel like you suck as human being.
