You know, it’d be interesting to see statistics for how many successful installs there are vs. how many problems & complaints. And not just for FiOS installs but all major utilities like Comcast, Time Warner, etc.
Check out broadbandreports.com. They’ve got reviews of all ISPs with average speeds by city, zip code, etc. Some of the reviews are pretty detailed with info on everything from the sale to install and beyond while some are the “My internets work fast.” type of review so YMMV.
The success rate is probably 75-85%. But it depends on their internal reporting. They probably think it’s higher.
Hah!
The Verizon subcontractors cracked my slate walkway when they installed the cable. I got $1K out of them, though!
Otherwise, the installation went very well.
