If you’re looking for a treat this afternoon, you can get a free junior soft-serve cone if there’s a Carvel store near you from 3 PM to 8 PM. The cones are free, and vanilla, chocolate, and Oreo flavors are available. Customers who stop by can get a special coupon book if they make a $1 donation to the American Red Cross. [Carvel]
If you actually do scream for ice cream (right there with ya) and you hate paying for stuff, today is your day: it’s Ben & Jerry’s annual Free Cone Day at stores in 28 countries. Dessert seekers can score a complimentary cone of their favorite flavor between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. at participating locations. [via Ben & Jerry’s]
Last month, Ben & Jerry’s celebrated Free Cone Day, and Dairy Queen observed the non-holiday a month before that. Now it’s the turn of competitor Häagen-Dazs to do the same. Well, only at its shops in the United States, and only a kiddie-size cone, but a tiny free cone is better than no cone at all. The festivities will be from 4-8 PM today in your local time zone, provided that the company has a location near you.
I scream. You scream. You know what happens next — we all scream… for ice cream. And on Monday, all that screaming will be greeted with free cones at Dairy Queen as part of the company’s 75th anniversary celebration.
