Apple Support Site Now Includes Option To Schedule Repairs With Authorized Providers

When no one was paying attention, Apple updated its support site to include a new option for folks looking to get their iPhone or other Apple device fixed: The ability to schedule repairs with Apple Apple Authorized Service Providers.

Now, after going through Apple’s online troubleshooting categories and reaching “Bring in for Repair,” you have the option to either find a local service provider approved by Apple, or make a reservation at the Genius Bar.

If you do decide to go with a nearby provider, the site will also list availability at each location, as well as their websites and phone numbers. You don’t have to click through to other sites, however, as clicking on a time and date will confirm the appointment.

Depending on where you live, it could be much easier to find an Apple-approved repair shop than it is to book an appointment at the local Apple Store. For example, if you live in a city with just one Apple Store it’ll likely be pretty busy.

For people who just want their Apple product repaired and don’t want to deal with “Geniuses” or confused customers who can’t figure out where to plug in their headphones, the list of authorized repair shops may provide a faster and less frustrating option.
