A New Jersey man who was previously convicted of using telephone dating services to scam women out of hundreds of thousands of dollars has been accused of doing pretty much the same thing while he was on probation for the first scheme.

The 52-year-old man appeared in U.S. District Court in Camden, NJ to face a wire fraud charge, Philly.com reports. Prosecutors claim that between December 2012 through 2014 he met women looking for love on telephone dating services, wooed them, and then made up reasons why he needed them to loan him money, loans he didn’t bother paying back.

This isn’t the first time he’s been accused of preying on the lonely-hearted for financial gain: in 2006 he pleaded guilty on charges that he stole more than $200,000 from women through the country using a similar scheme, and was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in April 2007. He left prison in 2012 when he was placed in a residential reentry program in Philadelphia. But then in 2013, he was found in an Atlantic City hotel, gaming women on dating services again, court documents say, and returned to prison.

He was let out of prison again in Dec. 2013 on supervised release, and subsequently violated conditions of that release. He’s been in jail since Dec. 2014.
