Girl Scouts Debuting Two S’Mores Cookie Varieties For 100-Year Anniversary

Have you ever walked up to the Girl Scout troop parked in front of the local supermarket and thought, “Man, I wish they had s’more cookies?” Well, wish no more.

The Girl Scouts announced Wednesday, which just happens to be National S’mores Day, that they would add two s’more cookie varieties to its lineup in celebration of 100 years of selling the boxes of treats.

Availability of the cookies, which debut next spring, will depend on your location.

Some areas of the country will sell a chocolate-coated version, made of a crispy graham cookie dipped in crème icing and dunked in chocolate. Other areas will receive a crunchy graham sandwich cookie with a chocolate and marshmallowy filling.

This isn’t the first time the Girl Scouts have sold two varieties of similar cookies. As you’ll recall, the organization sells Caramel Delites or Samoas by location. The cookies are remarkably similar, but have different names because they are made at different bakeries.

The cookies are the first new addition to The Girl Scouts’ lineup since 2015, and are the first options that are free of artificial flavors or colors, high fructose corn syrup, or hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils, the organization says.
