Salads And Wraps Recalled From Walgreens, Whole Foods, And Trader Joe’s

Yep, field fresh.

Yep, field fresh.

The bad news is that 181,620 pounds of chicken and ham salads sold in popular retail outlets like Walgreens, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s has been recalled due to possible contamination with E. coli bacteria. The good news, if such a thing is possible, is that this isn’t yet another iteration of the massive and scary Foster Farms salmonella recall from last month.

No, it’s just regular old E. coli O157:H7 that causes bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramps, dehydration, and dehydration and can lead to kidney failure.

Don’t think you’re safe because you avoid eating meat that you didn’t cook yourself: Atherstone Foods announced that they’re recalling packaged veggie wraps and salad kits that are meatless, but still potentially contaminated.

Possibly contaminated items were distributed under the Trader Joe’s, Delish, and Atherstone Farms brands at Trader Joe’s, Walgreens, and Whole Foods stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington state. Here’s the full list of products recalled due to possible contamination:
