We Live In A World Where The Deep-Fried Twinkie Burger Is A Real Thing

If you were to make a Venn diagram showing the overlap of bacon, frying oil, cream filling, and “perpetual-adolescence wish-fulfillment,” you’d find the Deep-Fried Twinkie Burger.

Whether this is an indicator of Twinkies becoming an accepted ingredient in restaurant cuisine or a sign that we should all seriously reconsider what we eat, this sandwich is now available at PYT, the same Philadelphia eatery that recently made headlines for using pieces of fried lasagna as sandwich bread.

If anything, we’re a little disappointed in PYT for once again using the old KFC Double Down trick of frying something up and putting some meat in between two pieces. If you’re going to do Poochie-to-the-extreme foods, then you’ve got to think outside the non-traditional bun.

We’re no restaurateurs but we would have de-creamed the Twinkie before frying, mixed that cream into some ground beef, pureed that mixture then piped it back into the Twinkie and deep-fried the entire thing in bacon grease, put it in the blast chiller and applied a cream cheese frosting. Then served it on the frickin’ moon because it’s out of this world.

If anyone wants to try that above recipe, please don’t.
