Baby Jogger Recalls 30,000 Stroller To Car Seat Adaptors

It’s very convenient to take your child’s car seat and mount it directly on a stroller…unless the adaptor that lets you do so is faulty. There have been 47 reports that adaptors for Baby Jogger strollers have failed: specifically, the part that connects the bars that support the car seat to the stroller frame comes loose, and the car seat hits the floor.

Newer adaptors with 4 holes are OK. The ones with ten holes are not.

No babies have been seriously injured, but there have been quite a few bruised heads and toes and/or noggins and toesies. Parents have been instructed to stop using the adaptors and send away for replacements. They can do so by calling (877) 506-2213, e-mailing recall@babyjogger.com, or reading the recall guide on the company’s web site.

Adaptors that are part of the recall were manufactured between April 1, 2012 and Sept 20, 2012, and sold in stores between June 2012 and June 2013.
