Man Steals Puppies By Shoving Them Down His Pants

puppiesPuppies are small, cuddly, and pricey, so why not stuff some down your pants and shoplift them? That was the logic of a man in Florida, who stuffed a dachsund puppy and a pug puppy down his pants on two separate trips to an Orlando pet store.

A family is less suspicious than a guy prowling the puppy cribs by himself, and this man happened to be shopping with a couple and a toddler. “I mean, you come here to steal a dog with a kid, that’s insane,” observed the employee on duty at the time.

Of course, a store full of tiny, wriggling $800 bundles of cuteness has surveillance cameras, and the theft was caught on tape. Not after the family got away with the two pups.

Authorities released the tape, and are looking for any leads on the identity of the thief and the location of the pups. The puppy store’s owner is offering a $250 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the thief.

As items to shove down one’s pants go, this is by far the cuddliest. It’s a lot more cuddly than a chainsaw, or frozen meat and seafood.

If someone in a dark-colored Crown Victoria with front-end damage tries to sell you an adorable puppy, contact police, and keep in mind where thet puppy has been.
