Amazon suggests pairing it with a writing pad that’s designed to look like an iPad, so you can look like you’re scrawling on a tablet computer with a spoon and make sure that your co-workers truly, truly begin to worry about you.

“Perfect for on-the-go eating and note taking,” notes the description of the Dine Ink, which is true. Maybe this is the kind of truly inconspicuous note-taking device that the world’s restaurant reviewers and mystery shoppers have been looking for.
