We’ve talked a lot over the years about secret menu items at fast food joints and how they can be both fun for customers and good for business, so we’re always on the lookout for the next Mc10:35. Now the creator of that fast food Frankenstein has a new secret menu item he says is taking off at his local In-N-Out Burger.

Dubbed the “Frozen Mocha” by Consumerist reader, it’s a rather simple idea —

– Two parts chocolate shake
– One part vanilla shake
– Coffee grinds (fresh, not used, because that’s disgusting)

As you can see in the above photos, Peter gets his helping of coffee grinds put into a little paper condiment cup and then mixes the concoction together.

Peter claims it’s not just him that is enjoying the Frozen Mocha; employees at his In-N-Out have apparently been suggesting it to other customers when they come up to order a shake.

Given that In-N-Out’s “secret menu” isn’t really a secret at all, maybe it’s time for them to start selling a true fans-only item. This could also be tried anywhere that serves shakes and coffee, so the “Frozen Mocha” isn’t restricted to just one fast food chain.
