More Than 2,000 Flights Canceled Today & Tomorrow Because Of Snow

Remember when you looked forward to lots of snow? Neither do we.

With a huge snow storm coating the Midwest and heading east to wreak even more havoc, more than 1,450 flights have already been canceled for today. Flights in and out of Chicago’s two airports, O’Hare and Midway, make up the majority of those cancellations (1,050 as of right now, according to FlightAware.com).

The cancellations shift to the East Coast for tomorrow. More than 750 flights have already been called off, mostly due to the impending storm. The D.C./Baltimore area currently represent the highest number of cancellations, as around 700 planes will not be taking off or landing from Reagan International, Dulles, or Baltimore-Washington International tomorrow.

We would expect this number to only increase as airports from Philadelphia to New York and Boston begin canceling flights in the next 24 hours.
