Perhaps we just drank a little too much of the non-alcoholic eggnog we found at the back of the fridge in the kitchen at Consumerist HQ (it didn’t smell that spoiled), but we’re in a happy mood and have decided to finish out 2012 by celebrating companies and employees that have gone above and beyond to help consumers out of a bind.

Regular Consumerist readers know that we do occasionally get — and publish — these happy tales, but rather than just do a best-of roundup based on those handful of posts, we want to hear from those of you never thought to share your positive experiences would be worth sharing with the audience.

So if you have a story about a business (or even just a single employee) who went an extra mile when they didn’t have to or when no one else would, tell us all about it at tips@consumerist.com and be sure to put “Above Beyond 2012” in the subject line.

How we end up presenting these stories will depend on the quantity, quality and variety of stories you send. It’s possible this could end up being something that you, the readers, vote on. We won’t know until we hear from everyone.
