A Maryland RadioShack employee truly went above and beyond the call of bad customer service yesterday when he decided it was perfectly cool to get creative with a customer’s receipt to let her know she’s an “ugly itch” from “ghettohood, usa,” which is apparently in “tattoville, Maryland.”
The customer tells WUSA-TV she stopped into the Shack in Montgomery County, MD, to buy some sort of adapter for something called a “cassette.” When the rang up the transaction she was confused about the extra $.05 bag tax tacked on by the county.
After a back-and-forth over the fee, she decided she wanted to return the item and get a refund. And that’s when the employee allegedly entered the “ugly itch, ghettohood, usa, tattoville, Maryland” comment on her receipt.
She says the employee tried to claim that he was only joking and that her attempts to speak to a manager got her nowhere.
“The manager didn’t want anything to do with it,” she tells WUSA-TV.
Since no one at the store seemed to care, the customer says she’s been in touch with RadioShack HQ about the incident.
Thanks to JCS for the tip!
