Clothing Store Heist Shows Thief Is Living Life By The Rules Of A Romantic Comedy

Just because a scheme to nab last-minute disguises works in a romantic comedy doesn’t mean you should use that plan in real life. For example, it might be funny in a romcom to break into a clothing store in the middle of the night to steal wigs, women’s underwear and red high heels, but in real life, it’s a crime.

CBS Los Angeles says a burglar broke into One Stop Fashion early Tuesday morning and took two wigs off a mannequin, along with plenty of panties and multiple pairs of red ladies’ shoes.

“We were in shock when we learned what they took,” a store representative said. Totally! Who needs more than one pair of red shoes anyway?

Cops got the silent-alarm call at 5:06 a.m., and when they arrived on the scene, the front window had been shattered.

While it’s unsure whether the burglar was a male or a female, we’ve got the image of two dudes showing up somewhere dressed hilariously as women but somehow, no one knows they’re men! And of course, one of the guys is the subject of unwelcome advances from a lascivious, leering man. Comedy gold, maybe, but yeah, still against the law.
