Weight Watchers Makes It Hard To Track Progress, Deletes My Info

It’s hard work to lose weight, and for many, tracking that process online with Weight Watchers is a big benefit in the battle to shed pounds. So you can imagine one Consumerist reader is pretty ticked that her two years of info has been erased.

Carrie writes of her Weight Watchers woes, which began last month when the company updated the site.

She writes:

I’ve been paying $40/month for Weight Watchers Online for 2 years ($880), and on September 1, 2011, they rolled out an update that wiped all my historical data. I am paying for a service which includes tools for tracking my weight loss. When my historical data was loss, Weight Watchers reneged on their advertised service. I feel that I did not get the product for which I originally paid.

Carrie adds that she’s not alone — she’s found other members with similar data loss problems, via online message boards. Customer support has promised in the last two months to restore her data, but as of now, that info is still missing, says Carrie.

Definitely not the loss she signed up for.
