Daycare Owner Doped Kids To Make Them Go To Sleep

A daycare owner in Texas was arrested by police for mixing antihistamines into the kids’ milk to make them fall asleep.

After other daycare workers complained to the police, cops got a search warrant. A referral was also made to Child Protective Services.

The woman faces 16 counts of endangerment to a child and is being held on a $160,000 bond. If convicted, she could spend a max of two years in jail and $10,000 fines per count.

“I don’t believe her intent was to harm the children,” Van Alstyne Police Department Lieutenant Tim Barnes told CBS DFW. “But giving kids medication and then their parents not knowing about it and then when they get home if something was to occur where they were having to give them other medication that may have a reaction… it could have been a bad situation.”

Back in my day, all you needed was another kid going around with the sleep fairy wand to make everyone take a nap. Let’s bring that back.
