Undercover NASA Agent Busts Woman For Allegedly Trying To Sell Possibly Phony Moon Rock
If you are so bold as to try to hock a moon rock, you’d do best not to try to sell your wares to an undercover agent from NASA.
According to an AP story, the woman tried to hock the supposed space rarity for $1.7 million. Actual moon rocks, which the story says Richard Nixon gave to each state in the U.S. and several dozen countries, can sell for millions on the black market.
NASA confiscated the rock and will conduct tests to determine whether it’s the genuine article. The woman has not yet been arrested or charged.
