Even More "Toxic Waste" Candy Lives Up To Its Branding

In January, the people behind the Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge candy bars announced a not-that-surprising recall for possible lead contamination. And in keeping with the company’s brand message, more candy has been recalled for the same reason.

The specific item being recalled this time is Toxic Waste Short Circuits Bubble Gum, 3.2 oz (90 g) size, Lot #15070SC12.

The recall was announced after a recent test performed by the FDA indicated that the lot in question contains nearly twice the FDA’s maximum lead tolerance. If ingested, it could potentially could cause health problems, particularly for infants, small children, and pregnant women.

The recalled Short Circuits Bubble Gum product was distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail order. The product was also distributed in limited quantities into Canada and Switzerland.

Candy Dynamics, the maker of Toxic Waste, is sending recall notices to customers who ordered the product directly through the company.

If you’re in possession of the recalled product, call Eileen O’Neal at 317-228-5012 (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm EST) for further information.
