Lawsuit Alleges Chicago McDonald's Employee Spit In Customer's Face
A Chicago woman is suing McDonald’s because an employee spit in her face at the drive-thru while she was in a taxi. The topic of the disagreement was whether or not the woman should be able to order a hamburger just before 4 in the morning. The employee said only breakfast items were available, but the customer wanted a burger.
Then she asked for a ham, egg and cheese bagel, but the employee said only bacon — not ham — was available. And then things went Cuban Missile Crisis. Eventually the employee, displaying impressive range and accuracy, spit through the window and in the customer’s face.
Chicago Breaking News reports the woman, who is claiming injury, embarrassment and humiliation, is suing for unspecified damages.
Taking the issue seriously, a McDonald’s franchisee says:
“While we are aware of this claim, we have not been served with a lawsuit. As always, we investigate claims to gather the facts, and take action, as appropriate. At this time, these are just allegations, jumping to conclusions without having the facts.”
