Customer Sues McDonald's & Walmart Over A Bone In Her Burger

Almost two years two the day after she claims she chomped into something hard in a McDonald’s double cheeseburger, a woman in Illinois has filed a lawsuit against the fast food giant.

According to the suit filed yesterday in Cook County Circuit Court, the plaintiff alleges that the burger she purchased on July 8, 2008, contained a bone or bone fragment, which caused “significant damage to her teeth,” which required a root canal, tooth extraction, bone graft and implant.

The plaintiff, who is seeking damages over $50K, also names the meat distributor and Walmart, since the supposed bone burger was purchased at a McDonald’s located inside a Walmart store.

In response to the suit, a McDonald’s rep said some of our favorite words:

We take these matters seriously… We are looking into these allegations.
