Man Spoils Price Chopper Opening By Stripping & Threatening To Kill People

Grand openings are occasionally not so grand, but that’s usually because of bad weather or poor turnout. It’s not usually due to a drunk shedding his clothes and hurling threats at employees. That is, unless you’re talking about the grand opening of the Price Chopper in Cromwell, CT, this week.

According to police, the 49-year-old fella was intoxicated and standing in front of the newly opened grocery store requesting that entering and exiting customers “(expletive) dance with him.”

That’s when he began his striptease act. Fortunate for all involved, he did not go the full Monty, but remained in his undies.

Price Chopper employees attempted to escort him off the premises, which is when he started swinging at them and throwing out such verbal gems as “When I get a chance I’m going to bash both of your (expletive) heads in,” and “I’m going to kick your (expletive) and I’m going to (expletive) kill you,&#8221.

Even after the police tracked him down to the neighboring Home Depot, he allegedly continued making threats regarding the Price Chopper staff.

According to the police, he said he was going to bash in the head of those “Price Chopper guys,”.

He also told the officers he was going to shoot them before being charged with breach of peace, disorderly conduct, trespassing, attempt to commit third-degree assault, second-degree threatening and refusal to be fingerprinted and photographed.
