Netflix Is Indeed Coming To iPhone Says Steve Jobs

Back in April, Apple and Netflix ticked off a vocal handful of iPhone owners by deciding to launch the first mobile version of the video service’s streaming videos on the then-untested iPad. But at today’s much ballyhooed new iPhone announcement, Apple’s Chief Executive Guru Steve Jobs was happy to let everyone know that Netflix is coming to the iPhone.

“There is one feature request we’ve consistently gotten… and I’m happy to announce Netflix for the iPhone coming this summer for free,” Jobs said to the crowd.

Jobs was joined by Netflix CEO Reed Hastings for the announcement.

“Two months ago we launched Netflix on the iPad,” said Hastings. “It’s been one of the top 10 most downloaded apps in the App Store.”

So, iPhone users: Do you see yourself streaming movies on your phone?
