Google Prepares To Dominate Your TV With New Technology
In case there was any doubt, Google is getting ready to just straight up dominate the world: The Wall Street Journal reports that Google is going to unveil Android-based TV software in May at the kind of event where life-changing announcements are made, the Google I/O conference.
WSJ cites “people familiar with the matter” who describe Google’s foray into TV as technology that would open TVs and other devices to more content from the Internet.
While nothing has been discussed publicly, a number of big name partners like Sony, Intel and Logitech are said to be interested in working with Google to offer consumer products that would be compatible with the new software.
I can’t wait until I can show my friends “Drinking out of cups” on YouTube the way it was meant to be seen, in all its 1080p HD glory!
