Jumbo Rice Krispies Aren't Crispy, Kellogg Admits As Much

Blaine was crestfallen that Jumbo Rice Krispies didn’t live up to his dreams of a bigger, better, Krispie-er version of the regular Rice Krispies he knew and loved. He found them mealy and soggy, and complained to the company, which pretty much admitted he was right — at least that the cereal isn’t a jumbo-sized version of the original.

He relayed the company’s response:

Thank you for letting us know how you feel about Kellogg’s® Jumbo Multi-Grain Krispiesâ„¢ cereal. We appreciate our consumers sharing their opinions with us.

Trying a new product is often a fun experience. We understand that you were looking forward to enjoying the cereal and are sorry to hear that this didn’t measure up to your expectations. I can understand how you would be expecting something similar to the original Rice Krispies®, which these are not.

Our goal is to have our consumers enjoy every product we offer. However, we know that not all of our consumers will approve of the new foods or reformulations that we introduce. Thanks to comments like yours, we are able to continually improve our products. We appreciate your input and will share your remarks with our food development and marketing teams.

Krispies fans, are you happy with the older product or is it true that once you go Jumbo you never go back?
