Woot Off! Woot Off! The coffeemaker is a pretty good deal. A new one off Amazon is $102.

Also, the Amazon video games deal is going on until 10/31 and the credit expires at the end of December this year, so make your decisions quickly!

Aw dammit Woot-off I wanted to be productive at work today. These doors aren’t gonna sell themselves. Well I mean they kinda do, it’s hard to sell someone a door when they don’t actually need one. But still.

    • Pixel says:

@PTB315: That’s why selling doors by going door-to-door never caught on.

      • theblackdog says:

@Pixel: Yeah, but you build great upper body strength carrying all those doors around.

        • PTB315 says:

@theblackdog_HalloweenHaunting: it’s legs mostly, I have legs of steel and a bit of a gut.

@bornonbord: It would partially justify the times I get caught reading consumerist, kotaku, woot, facebook, and collegehumor.

          1) Sadly no, I’m from Syracuse NY, just a Sox fan.
          2) I do B2C, the stuff I sell is all commercial steel and wood, they don’t fit on houses.
          3) He’s lazy and he wants to avoid making a house call and sitting there answering questions just to have you shop his price to home depot/ etc. etc. (I’m not saying you would, it’s just what salesmen fear.)

If you want to make sure you’re not getting ripped off, it’s actually not a bad idea to identify the style you want and maybe even get them yourself, and get quotes from others to install them. If you really want help with this email me at I probably can’t sell you the doors but I can at least help you find them.

      • PTB315 says:

@Pixel: Oh, it can be done. It’s less “going” door to door, more “kicking down” doors, then explaining to the customer that clearly the door was crap and needs to be replaced. You can add an “or else” for effect.

I think a window repair company actually did this by smashing windows at night in hopes of a repair call the next day. They got caught, but you gotta respect the dedication. Is dedication the right wod?

    • ndonahue says:

@PTB315: OK — this is crazy. I’m addicted to the woot off, but my wife wants us to replace the exterior doors in our house and the contractor is telling us we should find the doors we like rather than “paying” him to come by with all sorts of sample books.

I’m guess from Red Sox logo that you’re local. Where should I shop for doors in Boston/Cambridge?

    • bornonbord says:

@PTB315: I swear, if you get work out of posting on Consumerist, I will be on it 24/7 with the excuse that I could potentially grow my business.

No boss would ever be able to be upset, ever.

The Marble Run playset is calling me, if only to relive a part of my childhood, and maybe to order for my brothers for Christmas.

The printer deal was yesterday’s shell shocker, and has expired its now back up to $49.99
